Redundancy, de-equitisation plus dealing with under-performance.

Many leaders find discussions about under-performance, or the need to move people on, extremely tough. A colleague may have contributed successfully to your organisation over many years though markets or focus may have changed and their specialism may no longer be relevant. They have become a square peg in a round hole. OvationXL have helped many people to re-assess where they excel and they have ended up in new organisations where they are altogether happier. This has happened time and time again.

From the candidate’s perspective, most human beings feel more comfortable with the status quo - though nothing lasts forever. The prospect of de-equitisation or redundancy can be immensely stressful even when planned. It's time to consider options that you won't have thought through on your own. Without intervention fears of inadequacy, financial insecurity, or growing old can take hold. You may become overwhelmed by feelings of anger or depression that can easily take your eye off the ball. A professional coach can help bring things back into perspective. As people live longer and pension returns diminish, many of us have to work for longer than we might have predicted back in our twenties. One of the success factors is getting help fast - ideally whilst you remain in post. We know that the longer people leave it to seek help the longer the person takes to get back into some form of work (or whichever new paths they may choose to take).

Your new strengths and abilities

  • Fresh enlightened perspective on your future/new priorities.
  • Open-ended options that created confusion and bogged you down have been transformed into a focused battle plan and you are taking action. You've got your thinking straight.
  • Re-assessment of personal and/or family values.
  • Techniques for embracing change to counterbalance any natural feelings of fear, anger, sadness or guilt.
